Seattle, WA – Verity Consulting is now a partner of Snowflake Computing. Verity will help clients choose, design, build and run data warehouses on Snowflake, as part of its technology implementation and business intelligence services.
Snowflake, generally available since June 2015, was built from the ground up for the cloud. It takes a new approach in three ways: it separates storage and compute, so each can grow and be paid for on its own; many teams can work on the same data at once; and customers pay for the capacity they use. It can also take in semi-structured data from business applications without reshaping it first. Last month Snowflake raised $263 million at a valuation of $1.5 billion, and said it serves more than 1,000 customers.
For a growing company, that means a data warehouse without buying hardware years ahead, and analytics that can grow with the business. Verity can help with data model definition, connecting source systems, and building reports.
